Hi

I have an Ellen Welsh in my family she was infact my Great grandmother, she came from Ireland and married  a John Hilton , he died in about 1865. She reverted back to her maiden name ,for what reason we dont know. She spent sometime in Oldham workhouse and died in 1899. She had my Grandfather Harry or Harvey Hilton in about 1870 , who later changed his name to Peter Harvey Wellins. He arrived five to six years after John Hilton died , I guess those things happened wink. Her father was Martin Welsh , mother unknown.  I hope I have been of some help for both our family trees.smiley

Regards

Les Wellins

Be cautous  assuming these are the same woman.  Assuming the birth date of around 1810 and your ancestor was born in the 1870 range, that makes her 60 at the time of his birth.  Not likely.

Thats great news, I would suggest you contact the Profile manager direct as they may not get notifications of G2G posts, possibly ask to be on the trusted list though as the profile is open you can add to it now.
