I need parent information on John S. Boyd-6123 and wife's maiden name

Question

Born in South Carolina about 1805. According to US Census 1830, 1840, 1850.   Moved to Louisiana in 1820's, then to Arkansas after 1835.  I have hit a brick wall.  Would appreciate any help.

Can you add the source you have for his death?   I found his wife, son and daughter living alone in 1860  "United States Census, 1860", database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M87Y-QZ1 : 12 April 2016), Eliz Boyd, 1860.

I have John S Boyds parents as Hugh Boyd and Jennett Jane Harper.  Hugh was in Newberry South Carolina
