Trying to find out information about my biological grandfather [closed]

Question

All I have are initials for my biological grandfather, which is: E. C. Whitehead. He did not actually have a name, just initials. I have been told he was adopted but by family. I know he passed away in 1986, but do not know his D.O.B. I do know that he loves around either San Antonio, Texas or Austin, Texas. I also remember that he was married to a lady named Civil and had two other children, Danny and Wanda. Tbis is all I have been able to find out, can someone help?

Have you looked in the Street Directories for San Antonio or Austin for the 1980's? Ancestry has US street directories as do libraries. Another place to look is for his military records. It is likely he served in WWII or Korea, or possibly WWI.

His wife's name may have been Sibyl, rather than Civil, but that's just a guess on my part. I did a quick search on Ancestry and he was in WWII. His Social Security Death Index is there. It appears his wife's name when he died was Selma.

Have you taken a DNA test? If you take one I recommend Ancestry for a first test and if anyone else in his family has tested you may find some 2nd cousins.

Looks as if Wanda Jo married a Mike Allen Fletcher and they had a daughter
