K, thank you so much for merging the two Thomas Spivey's into one, as well as all your other great work.  I wonder if you might be up for another Spivey challenge: Jacob (Spivey-264) is shown as father of Thomas Moses (Spivey-136), and this may very well be correct.  However, Find-A-Grave memorial #59782420 inscription states Thomas Moses' parents were Joshua Spivey and Alie and I have been unable to prove or disprove either Jacob or Joshua, and I find that a problem that I cannot reconcile. If you are interested, I'd love to know what you can find. Again, thank you for all your contributions.  Nancy (Spivey-343)

Nancy: Quite late to the 'party' but thank you for this kindness (been away for a while).

I hit up Jacob (Spivey-264) and added will info and a ref citation. His son, Thomas, is never referred to as Thomas Moses Spivey and, as you know, middle names were rarely used in this era - I think Thomas Moses (Spivey-136) may be conflated. I will take up the gauntlet in the coming weeks and see if this can be sorted out to a reasonable degree. These Spiveys are tough nuts to crack  smiley

yes And, Thanks Dieter. Much appreciated.

Yes, these Spiveys are difficult to identify and "Thomas Moses" and his "family" have had my head spinning. Richard Spivey, who is apparently no longer active, added "Thomas Moses", without sources, and I've been trying to make sense of it ever since, but alas, I have failed. Thank you for taking up the gauntlet. I love team work. All of you Wikitreers are wonderful.
