Hello folks, I have two questions. I'm not getting anything on 1900's Clarendon landowner May Smith's mother and father. Also the first three Harrison brothers to arrive in Jamaica. Thanks in advance, I'm still trying to figure out this site.

Hi Richard,

FamilySearch.org shows some records.  The search terms can be tweaked.  This results page is for "Harrison"s with any recorded event in Jamaica between 1600 and 1670:  https://familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&query=%2Bsurname%3Aharrison~%20%2Bany_place%3Ajamaica~%20%2Bany_year%3A1600-1670~

There are about 80 results to look at.  Clicking on a listing will show more information and provide source data if it exists.

I hope this is helpful... I'll also look for more :)

Here is a fairly complete story of some Harrisons:

Hi Richard, I wonder who these "first three Harrison brothers" were and how you are connected to them. I am researching Robert Monroe Harrison , US Consul to Jamaica, in Jamaica from 1832-58 and his Swedish wife Margaret ; and especially his youngest son, Richard, who, although apparently a world traveler and sometime journalist, was  in Jamaica, assisting with consular duties, when his parents dies in 1857 and '58

Hello Ronal, I was told by a gentleman by Richard Harrison of Harrison construction in Jamaica, there were 3 brothers who were the original descendants of the Jamaican Harrison. When I look closer, I get the feeling they were relatives of the singers of the Declaration. They were farmers and sea going men, as were the Virginia link.
