Help me reduce confusion: Clement-1457 named 3 sons Obediah.

New Hampshire patriot Obediah Clement (Clement-1457) and his first wife, Sarah Batchelor, named 2 children Obediah; the first died as an infant. in 1775. Sarah Batchelor (Bachelor-112) died in 1786. His second wife, Sarah Baker, also named a son Obediah.  Which Obediah went to North Carolina?

Could someone look over this lineage?  Or is it "clear as mud"?  (Be kind!)

Obediah Clement-1457 is the senior parent.  He had one son named Obediah Clement which is listed as II but would normally be called Jr. #2 Obediah had two sons named Obediah. The second Obediah was living in Maine in 1850 so I doubt he was the one that went to NC.  If Sarah Baker had a son named Obediah Clement, he is not listed as her child yet but he was most likely the one that went to NC.

Hi,

Thanks for offering clarity.  This has helped a lot!  Meanwhile, some wonderful Wiki person has renamed a few of the Obediah's so a date is also attached.

Regards, Janine
