branch canada and new York

Question

Hello my name is Patrick Branch Patterson, I was born in 1983 I am the son of Arthus Stewart Patterson, Junior deseased, his father also Arthur Patterson, my father had a brother named Steve Patterson also deceased. I was told they came down from Eastern Canada and settled in Garrison on the Hudson, NY. And that the Branch side of my family lived and still may live in Canada. I am seeking any living relative or ancestry information. I am an only child I have no knowledge of relatives on my fathers' side. Please anyone assist. Oh, I think my great grandmother in New York, name was Elizabeth Branch Patterson and she had 3 sons. I think my grandmothers' name was Marion Short, from Rochester, I think. As far as I am aware I am the only one around, but these names are very common to me as a biomedical engineer I find it rather strange and almost impossible that there is no one.
