Private siblings show up in edit screen, but not in normal view

I think I'm looking at this correctly.

Here is the edit page for Genevieve Potts. You can see on the right that it shows two "private" brothers, both born in the 1800s. Now take a look at her profile not in Edit mode. The private brother b. ca. 1880 disappears.

Her father's profile only shows one private son in both the edit page and the public view.

Her mother's profile shows no private children in the public view, but in the edit view, the son b. 1880s shows up. 

p.s. Be warned: This family appears to be a bit of a mess. I'm trying to help someone get it straightened out.

I think this is normal.  Genevière is OPEN profile and when in EDIT mode you should have all rights.

But this doesn't explain why I can see two private brothers in the edit view and only one private brother in the Public view.

The private brother isn't missing, he appears by his name, Houston Potts.  Looks like one context takes notice of his Yellow lock and the other doesn't.

Thanks, RJ ... you're right. So, I wonder if the brother born in the 1870s has a Red privacy, then, and that's why his name isn't showing up in either view ???

Julie has the right idea. One brother has a red [or possibly black?] lock, so his info is hidden in both the public view and on the edit page. The other brother has a yellow lock; you see him in the public view, but you don't in the edit view unless you are on the trusted list and have editing privileges.
