Anna Mumford (1668-1746) daughter of Thomas Mumford (1625-1692) and Sarah E. Sherman (1636-1719); Thomas is the son of Thomas Mumford (1598-1632) and Ann Remington (1598-1692)  My family tree research matches all of these names.  I would like to know how he came to be born in America when according to history, the Jamestown settlement didn't come until later.
