Mary (Kenyon) Pettis (1721-1772) seems have a maiden name of “Mumford” and mother is a Anna Mumford (1668-1746) then Anna’s mother maternal side is Sarah Sherman (1636-1719) and Sarah’s mother being a Sarah Odding (1609-1681). Need some collaborative genealogy help citing sources to show this relation; currently Mary (Kenyon) Pettis has no parents attached.

Thank you wikitree family

The usual protocol for a woman is her given names (her LNAB) and any marital surnames ... so if I see Mary (Kenyon) Pettis, I see Mary (given name) with LNAB Kenyon and marital surname Pettis.

Why do you think, given this protocol, she's "missing" her LNAB?

laugh Granted, this is probably the United States of America protocol and yes, other nations have differing protocols or so I have read in g2g.
