The short answer is yes. You will need access to Ancestry to see this sourced tree:

Hi, in case you still need info, you can view this book without using ancestry. If You google "History and Genealogy of the Gov. John Webster Family,"  it's in a sort of an Internet Library,  called Internet Archive. Since it was published about 1915, it has listing of people up until about 1900. It's a little confusing to use, but in the back is a list of names where you could see if Alfred is listed. There's also a section at the end titled "Other New England Websters," where they couldn't find a definite link to Gov. John.  This book is how I got very lucky to find my great grandparents names listed in the 1890s.. You could also find the chapter that's for Noah Webster,  then check at the end of it, since that would be closer to the date you're seeking. I think  the book might have been available on Amazon in the past,  don't know of it is currently.  Good luck..My line was from Gov John Websters son Thomas...
