Teague Bay in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, Caribbean

I'm seeking any information on the history of Teague Bay on the island of St. Croix, USVI, Caribbean.  I know that in the 17th Century, many of the English colonies in the Caribbean saw major emigration of freemen from the British Isles, and I'm wondering if the Teague for whom Teague Bay is named might be a connection to an ancestor whose origins are unknown before he was transported into Maryland in 1675.

Thanks!

Dear Drew,

Maybe this group can help you:  http://stx.visharoots.org/estates.html .

Certainly a beautiful area of the world, but then I'm partial to islands!

Hi Nanette!

Thanks for the lead! I really appreciate it. I'll admit that I'd love an excuse to do some archival research in the islands... with plenty of beach time in between ;)

Drew
