Maryann Elizabeth (Lizzie) married Logan Jefferson Teague and had 4 children. She died sometime soon after having James Henry Teague in 1896 but there is no record of when she died, where, where she was buried, etc. The 1900 census shows that she was absent and James and some other children were living with their grandfather John Linville. Jeff was widowed and living with his father and one of Jeff's daughters in 1900. I need help solving this mystery about my great grandmother.

I know it has been a while since this was posted, but I am actually trying to find information on her as well. She would have been my great-great grandmother. I was curious to see if you had found out anything else on her.
I have been totally unable to find anything else on her.  I live close to carter county where she lived so I will have to go there and do some exhaustive research and maybe I will find something.
I know you have been searching way longer than I have and may have already looked in to this, but I noticed in the 1880 census (when she would have been about 10 years old), she and her family lived in the Buffalo Creek area. I googled to see if there might have been any family cemeteries near the Buffalo Creek area in Johnson City/Carter County, and the first result that came up was Linville Cemetery on Paddle Creek Road. Her name isn't listed as one of the ones being buried there, but not all the graves have been accounted for. Looking at the birth dates and death dates of the other graves that have been listed for that cemetery, it would fall around the same estimated time of her death. From the one picture I was able to see posted of the cemetery, it looks like it is in a more wooded residential area, but it may be worth a shot to check and see, or to maybe see if any of the locals might have some information that has been passed down. If I can ever get off work while it is still daylight, I would love to check it out and see. It's total speculation and may be a complete dead-end, but might be worth a shot if you haven't already checked into it. It's driving me nuts not being able to find anything, but I'll let you know if I do.

The marriage record I found on familysearch has her as Lizzie and him as Jefferson

"Tennessee State Marriage Index, 1780-2002," database, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VNH3-KH8 : 4 December 2014), Jefferson Teague and Lizzie Linville, 25 Aug 1881; from "Tennessee State Marriages, 1780-2002," database and images, Ancestry (http://www.ancestry.com : 2008); citing p. , Carter, Tennessee, United States, Tennessee State Library and Archives, Nashville, Tennessee.

Must be wrong, unless she married at 11.
I have that marriage document already and I knew her nickname was Lizzie and he went by Jefferson or Jeff most of the time.  I just don't know what happened after James Henry was born.
So when was she actually born, marriage in 1881 would mean she was only 11 if born 1870?  If she was married 1891  there must be another marriage and possibly other people by the same names.
