There is a Thomas Lawrence, died 1854 at age 49 on the French island of Saint Martin. His wife was Sarah Anne Bryan, and his parents listed as Thomas Lawrence and Jane Anne Bryan, but no info on the births of either Thomas or the Bryans was found. Does anyone have more info on where to look.

Do you know if Thomas Lawrence was buried on St Martin?  Or how long he lived there? Two of my brothers (also Lawrences) live there and might be able to look around.  There is also a Lawrence who was a merchant buried on St Eustatius, a nearby island.  I have always meant to get more details on that but I haven't been back to the island in years.

I have not been able to locate the death record of Thomas Lawrence Jr, but I found the one of his wife Sarah Anne Bryan at ANOM here (image 12). It mentions the name of her parents: John Bryan and Susanne Larmonie. This Geneanet tree has some more info.

Thank you for your answer, and I can only assume Thomas Lawrence was buried in St. Martin. The graves in St. Martin have not been respected. There are houses built on grave sites next to one of the churches on the island. My brick wall is trying to find either a Lawrence or Bryan ancestor who originally came to settle on the islands.
CAn you tell me the name of the church?  I have three Lawrence siblings living on the island.  Perhaps they can get some info for you.  - Anne
My husband knows which relatives were buried there. Thomas lived in Cul de Sac and likely would have been buried there.
My husband's DNA has matched him to several Lawrence men who know their lineage goes back to a John Lawrence born 1609 in England, who emigrated to Boston, Mass about 1635. But, which of his descendants went to St. Martin.
