Request to co-manage a profile

How do I request to co-manage a profile? My 5th great-grandmother's profile was created in 2012, but it has no content.

There are profiles managed by other people to which I've added content, but considering that no content has been added in 12 years, I'd like to be a manager/co-manager.

It is an open profile, so anyone can edit it. However, it would be in the spirit of collaboration to contact the profile managers before making significant changes. If you were made a third manager this contact would still be appropriate.

Just request to be added to the trusted list, when the current mangers reply, both are active, ask to be added as a manager.
