Astronomers Connection Combat: Maria Mitchell vs Carl Sagan                                                                                                                                                                                                  I am 19 degrees from Maria Mitchell. We are 22nd cousins twice removed. Our common ancestor is Morwyl Ferch Ednywain Tegaingl. She is my 23rd Great Grandmother born in 1049 in Wales. Morwyl is Maria's 21st Great Grandmother.

hi, Aid Station! I want to report a possible problem with a profile along my connection trail with Maria Mitchell.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cobb-3642  for [[Cobb-3642|Mary Molly (Cobb) Drew (1751-1814)]]  shows two marriages.  It seems that the children's births are in overlapping time frames.  I think the Massachusetts activities are likely while the Virginia marriage and children and the Kentucky death are unlikely.    

The Massachusetts marriage is my connection, so I'm going to proceed along that trail, but i just thought someone would like to know about this other problem.

Other than the situation with Mary Cobb Drew above, and another situation that will probably never be resolved as to how Beza Delano was able to get her long-absent husband declared dead so they could each marry someone else, my connection trail looks all connected up!  I added a few sources to solidify births and marriages, but it was mostly there already

I am a little confused since I am new at the WikiTree games, but WikiTree says I am 14 degrees from Maria Mitchell and she is my 10th great-grandmother and she was married to John William Tillotson. Tillotson is a fairly strong line for me. Both were born in England in 1591. The tillotson line begins for me at my 4th great-grand parents and goes into my earlier Dewey line.

I looked at your page and the 14- degree connection. It does not say that Maria Mitchell is your 10th great grandmother. You may want to look at it again? Also, Maria Mitchell never had children, and so is not anyone's grandmother at any level.

I am 16 degree from Maria Mitchell
