How many Scots in India?

At first this astonished me:

Over 4,000 Macdonald names buried in India.

And then it didn't.

As part of the Army of the Raj, and the colonial service, many Scots (and Irish and Welsh) joined with the English in search of adventure and wealth. Sadly many Scots, used to dreich weather, were wholey unsuited to a life in India, and never returned to their native land.

How many other clans had the same outcome?

How many other descendents are still in India?
