My grandmother was listed as Leila B Kenny

Her name is Lula Bridget Kenny Cooper dob 11-15-1912 dod 10-4-1996

She married on 12-25-1937 John Walter Cooper dob 11-04-1904 dod 1-9-1983

My mother Sarah (Sara) Lou Cooper Follette dob 10-25-1938 still living

Her brother John Joseph Cooper dob 03-30-1940 dod 07-26-2023

Mom was married on 01-23-1960 to my father Roger John Follette dob 11-02-1938 dod 03-26-2020

The sources used on the profile explain the use of Leila,  that is the spelling in one census record. The other shows Lula as the first name.  She is listed as Kenny because all profiles use the Last Name at Birth (LNAB), Cooper does show on the profile.

Your first step should be to contact the Profile Manager (you will find the name and a contact link in the left column above the biography) and explain the issue.

It seems that the transcriber of the 1940 Census read the enumerator's handwriting as Liela [sic].  However, a look at the actual handwriting shows that Lula is definitely an option.

You are most welcome to consult with the current profile manager and bring forward your evidence as to why 'Liela' is actually 'Lula'.  The profile was actually created by a different person, as you can see by looking into the Changes tab.  Most likely everyone involved will be happy to hear from you.  They probably just used the spelling of the census, as transcribed.

Also, it is an open profile, so you are welcome to edit it yourself.  It is just courteous to communicate with the profile manager first.
