Can someone familiar with New Zealand help with a family tree for Cyril Kenny?

Hi WikiTreers,

For the Cemeterists project, I've been working on transcribing a section of Commonwealth War Graves in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver, British Columbia. A lot of men who served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I were from other countries in the British Commonwealth. One of these men, Cyril Kenny, was born in New Zealand. I'm not terribly familiar with what sort of records are available online for 1800s and 1900s New Zealand, so if anyone has any advice or wants to help build a tree for him, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Thanks, Chris, but that's a different Mary Kenny. The Mary Kenny buried at Mountain View was born around 1875, so she's a little young to be Cyril's mother. She married Peter Kenny in Vancouver in 1908, so that's another point that doesn't match up. I made a profile for her, though: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hayes-5473

Thanks for the look up, but I think that is yet another Mary Ann! Mary Ann Hayes Kenny has her parents listed as Cornelius Hayes and Margaret Hickey on her marriage certificate and death record.

Hi, there was a Cyril Kenny in the Kenny family who were based in Picton, South Island, New Zealand. Cyril was the Uncle of my stepfather Robin Wemyss, whose mother was Edith Kenny.

Picton Museum has a lot of info on the Kennys, and I have seen a photo of Cyril there. Pse email me if I can be of further help.
