Is there a source that tells what cities, such as Lindau, Salzburg, were in what countries from 1675-1725?

Having trouble identifying what country towns and districts were in between 1675 to 1725.  The sources found have not been helpful or the maps do not enlarge to see towns or cities. Need boundary changes on Hungary, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other close countries. What were the boundary changes in the Holy Roman Empire between 1675 to 1725? Working on multiple profiles with name links on https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Ebenezer%2C_Province_of_Georgia  and want to make sure birth locations entered on WikiTree are correct.

I use this site to locate towns in continental Europe, plus the overlap feature with modern GoogleMaps is awesome. Then I go to th Wikipedia page of the town, the article in the native language usually has the whole history of it (it can be easily translated with the automatic thingy of Google).

Thank you, this will help for those that came later in the 1700’s.

Yes, "David Rumsey Historical Map Collection" should be able to help you with your question on city location.

Both cities belonged to the Holy Roman Empire governed by the Habsburg (Austrian) Emperors.

check Wikipedia Holy Roman Empire

"The Holy Roman Empire,[e] also known as the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation after 1512, was a polity in Central and Western Europe, usually headed by the Holy Roman Emperor.[19] It developed in the Early Middle Ages and lasted for almost 1,000 years until its dissolution in 1806 during the Napoleonic Wars"
