Can someone familiar with US Army in WWII please add categories etc to this man?

Franklin Nash was a US Army soldier in the Pacific - after service at Guadalcanal with 410th Signal Company (Aviation) where he earned a Bronze Star he sought a transfer/"sort of deserted" to the Allied Intelligence Bureau/Coastwatchers where he was pretty much the only US Army member (I have a feeling there were several Marines).

Could do with some editing by someone with access to US military records.

US Legion of Merit category?  Maybe others.
