WikiTree pages loading very slowly?

WikiTree profiles and G2G pages are loading extremely slowly for me, taking for example 12 seconds and 25 seconds in two recent cases. Are other people seeing this? It's happening for me on both a broadband and a cellular connection, on two different browsers. The Internet connections are working at normal speed for other sites.

If this effect is general, could it be a repeat of something that happened about 15 December 2023, after the site maintenance and software upgrade?

Maybe it's recovered. For the moment I'm getting normal page load speed again.
Likewise for me …
Ok, good to hear, George. I wonder if it recovered spontaneously or was poked :-)
Are other people seeing slow page-loading again? It's happening for me at 9:30 pm Saturday 13 January 2024 UTC.

There seems to be some sort of recurrent problem here, probably since the PHP upgrade. Something like a server memory leak maybe?
It appears to have recovered by 10:10 pm UTC.
The slow page loading may have been happening again around 10:15 pm Monday 15 January UTC. I've also been seeing complete load failures where the browser says the server stopped responding. (Hopefully this means it is rebooting or whatever, and the problem will go away.)

Thanks Jelena. Glad to know it's not just me!

I am experiencing this, as well as instances of “unable to connect to the server.” Other, non-WikiTree webpages load without issue. I am using the current versions of Safari and iOS on an iPad.

Thanks Greg. I've seen one "could not connect to server" too.

I hope not! Surely the redesign development will be done on a test server, not the production one.
