Thanks Stu. But that link gives me "Sorry you have been blocked" from Cloudflare, through two different Australian Internet service providers. Can other people access it?
Does this work? https://www.keirsteads.ca/obituaries/172494

The other option is to use a VPN.
The URL without Facebook tracking still doesn't work directly, but it does through a US VPN host. Maybe there's a geographical block.
I can access the link from Canada.
I can also read this obituary and I too am also in Canada.
Fine from the US.
So, essentially, folk in North America can access a North American link, but those in the Southern Hemisphere appear unable to do so.

Thank you for letting us know about his life and passing.  Reading is obit makes me think he should be a Canadian notable, at least a genealogical notable even if he wasn't a broadly known person.

That's my thinking.  He's certainly well known in the New Brunswick genealogy community.
Thanks, Stu, for the star.  Perhaps Brad might give him the notable sticker.

UGH Ignore this.

His account should probably be deleted as is standard practice.

His profile was not connected to the global tree.

Why should his being connected or otherwise matter?  He was a person who was a member, now deceased.  Isn't it the stated goal of WikiTree to have a profile for everyone?
His parents are ready to connect:

Also, I agree with Melanie, why ignore it? Why the "ugh"?
standard practice is not to delete accounts but to close them.  Difference.
If someone closes their account, their living profiles get deleted. He's not living, so that doesn't apply.
As the Aaron and Danielle said, deceased wikitreers would normally be treated like this https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bailey-5492
In this case of course, the major contribution was a grumpy comment about the right way to get started. But he should still be tagged, deactivated, and linked to his parents.

Bing was my 6C1R and a DNA match at 24 cMs.  I never met him but would like to acknowledge that i have benefitted from his contributions to genealogy in the Canadian Maritimes.
