Langtree-67 seem to be different to the Thomas Langtry of the will dated 1566 can somebody help?

it seems that langtree-68 Agnes Langtree is the daughter of one Thomas Langtree same as Langtree-69 Edward Langtree and Lantree 3 Amy Lantree and Langtree-70 Julian Langtree

but not the same Thomas Langtry also from Broad Chalke according to his will dated 1566 and all the children there mention have complete different names and they dont show as baptised in Broad Chalke at all

also the only chap Thomas Lantree born Broadchalke 1548 is the son of one John Lantree and there are siblings of this one born Langtree too in Broad Chalke

Since Thomas Cromwell only introduced Parish Registers on 5th Sept 1538 seems to me that that is whats going on many of these people branches of Langtree folk with various spellings where there all along only not on the parish record as it wasnt introduced yet so can somebody who can sort out the double or triple use use of Langtree-67 as itsnot the son of John and surely not the guy from the will dated 1566 thanks in advance

The name of the other daughter on the 1566 will looks like Julian to me (?)  What does anyone else think?

I would say it’s rare to have full documentation from parish registers for a family from this time period, and missing entries aren’t at all unusual.

The current assertion on the profile that the Thomas who wrote the will has no connection to Broad Chalke is a bit harsh on poor old Thomas.

The 1566 Thomas obviously can’t be the one baptised in 1548, but at this stage I wouldn’t rule him out as the father of Amy & Agnes.
