On 21 May 2023 Paul Snook wrote on Snook-3479:

Brickwall - Currently this Lawrence Snook's status is that of brickwall. There are several possible connections the first name of Lawrence might be the key. His son Lawrence was baptised 1663 in Wylye, Wiltshire. Its possible [Snook-3479] connects to Lawrence baptised 10 December 1596 at St Thomas Church, Salisbury died 24 Aug 1644 at the same place. Therefore when [Snook-3479] was a teenager he could have migrated to Wylye as a labouring/shepherd. or was his father Lawrence Snook baptised 20 August 1608 at St John's Church, Tisbury; he was the son of John Edwardi Snook b 1566 died 1617; and Anne or Ellen Sanger b 1574 d 1637 In addition was his mother the Elizabeth Crewe (if this is her family name, the handwriting is difficult to interpret) she married one of the above mentioned Lawrences 29 May 1622 at St Thomas Church, Salisbury. Any assistance would be most welcome.

I think you may be missing a generation here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Snook-3478 to live to 101 is unusual (though not impossible). Also the son was born rather late after the marriage and his mother must have been getting on a bit then (about 64). So probably best to get that straightened out first.

Other Lawrence Wylye burials: 14 Jan 1719/20, 16 Oct 1727

I think it's this marriage you're missing:

First name(s)    Lawrence
Last name    Snooke
Role    Groom
Residence    Deptford
Marriage year    1709
Marriage date    09 Feb 1709
Place    Teffont Evias
Spouse's first name(s)    Jane
Spouse's last name    Burton
County    Wiltshire
Country    England
Record set    Wiltshire Marriages Index 1538-1933
Category    Birth, Marriage, Death & Parish Records
Subcategory    Parish Marriages
Collections from    England, Great Britain

I see you've got that marriage on the father's profile, but is it the same Lawrence? My guess is it's the Lawrence born 1683 that married Jane Burton

Lawrence Snook of Salisbury(New Sarum)  died 1644  left a non-cupative will recited whilst sick on the 23rd August.  Sharing link

There is also an inventory. He was a shoemaker. The text is in horrible script so will take some time to decipher properly. Sons appear to be Robert and Lawrence and possibly  Henry (although he might be the son of Lawrence jr They don't sound like minors but this was only a cursory scan with lots of words  undeciphered

Also found the will and very large inventory of an Ann Snook, widow, New Sarum  1636

She has sons John and Thomas but also makes a bequest to Robert and Lawrence the sons of Lawrence Snook link

I think it was Helen who was looking at that. I've just found John's Will (1624) though, he was a Tailor, and his wife was Ann - I'll transcribe it for you if you like (as it's a Sunday!)

It looks quite useful - he was a merchant tailor and he gives his age as over 70
Many thanks Gill thats most helpful the twigs are appearing to connect to a branch
When Laurence started his shoemaking apprenticeship his age would have been 17.  Your suggestion appears valid, which is pleasing.
Gill - your good work, your sources and transposing skills are invaluable, many thanks for helping out your more than a generous mentor.
You're more than welcome!
Oh how did I manage to put 1824! I shall have to merge the page now!
Gill I have just realised John Snook [Snook-3484] will mentions he owned tenements at Fisherton Anger, these tenements are at Wylye which was or is contiguous with Fisherton Anger, these tenements were gifted to his son Lawrence therefore you have exposed the connection, smart work.
You've got on well this afternoon. I went off to watch the village cricket team

Not so certain about linking Fisherton Anger with Wylye. Fisherton Anger was a suburb of Salisbury and now part of it.St Pauls, the parish church is only a short walk from the city centre . The old parish church  of St Clements in Mill Rd is even nearer(source Personal knowledge!!!  Know area well) Wylye is about 10 miles away.
Helen - I entered Fisherton on Google Maps it took me to Fisherton next to Wylye, thought I was onto a home run, will keephunting, the early Wiltshire tax returns have thrown up a few names  P
