Why is adding a father to an open profile restricted to those on the trusted list?

Question

I wanted to add Per Fredrick Hedström as the father of Albin Hedström but I get a message that it is restricted to those on the trusted list.  Why?

Thank you for all reporting this. It should be fixed now. Can anyone here confirm that it is now working as you expect?

(As happens too often, we fixed a relatively small problem and caused a bigger problem while we were in there.)
