A profile manager got an error message when adding me to a Trusted List; any idea why??

Question

Apparently the error message had something to do with my profile, but bless me if I can see what the profile might be missing that's needed.  I've been successfully added to other Trusted Lists before, and haven't changed the profile in the interim.

Did the profile manager click on the link where you had requested to be added to a trusted list, or did they try to add you by typing your email address into a form?

He used my email address.  Here's his note:

"When I attempt to add Childs-1516 to Lavinia's trusted list, the error message is:

'This e-mail address is not associated with a WikiTree account yet.  Enter the person below to invite them to WikiTree.' "

Seems very odd.

Whoopsie -- looks like he used my WT ID instead of my email.  I've asked him to try the latter.

I assume the form requires an email as a form of privacy protection; so one can't be added willy-nilly to Trusted Lists (with whatever loss of privacy that might entail)?

I got the same error message when putting in a email and apparently I had a space before the email address.  The system is very picky!
