Adding daughter to trusted list of unlisted father [closed]

Question

A new user has joined WikiTree (and now has a Wiki Genealogist’s badge). She is connected to her parents in WikiTree and the privacy level of both her parents is Unlisted.  I’m a profile manager of both parents.

I am trying to to add the new user to her father’s trusted list.  I go to the Trusted List section for her father and add the new user’s e-mail address and click ADD THIS PERSON, but then WikiTree goes to an Add an Unrelated Person screen.  That screen wants me to enter the daughter’s name birth date etc.  However they are already in WikiTree and connected to her unlisted parents.  Please let me know what I’m doing wrong as I can’t figure out how to add the daughter to the trusted list of her parent.

Hi Peter. Please double-check that the email address you are entering is identical to the email address which the new user uses to log in to their account.

The behaviour you describe (going to Add Unrelated Person) is what happens when an email address is entered which is not the login email address of any WikiTree member.

If she's literally just signed up, is it possible that the system takes 24 hours to update itself and recognise her?

Thank you Jim!  That was the problem.  The new user sent me a private message via WikiTree.  I copied and pasted that email address into the email address field.  However their address had “mailto:” appended to the beginning of their email address.  I did not pay attention to what I had actually copied.
