Cox-12494 and unknown-297616 marriage license

Question

I have seen a record of the marriage of William Cox born 1853 and Eliza Courtnadge born 1862 on Ancestry.com, but the copy sent after payment was of such poor quality that when exported for use elsewhere the whole thing was unreadable and unusable! Typical for Ancestry, waste of money etc.!! And they gave no idea of what source to use…can anyone help?

I'd recommend that you get English certificates directly from the General Register Office. https://www.gov.uk/order-copy-birth-death-marriage-certificate It's cheaper, though I don't know why the quality should have been bad.
