Notables TV Legends Project

Question

After three successful TV Notables challenges, the Notables Project is introducing a permanent TV Legends Project Page. Each month we will add to the page any TV legends who don't get connected during our monthly TV Notables Challenge. Currently, the page features links to the profiles of 24 unconnected television Moms, Dads, and Kids. 

For one reason or another, these individuals did not get connected during the month they were featured. How about heading on over to the page now and seeing if you can figure out what the rest of us missed? If you can, be sure to let us know so that we can share in your victory and update our roster.  

Note:  This project currently focuses on American television only. If you are interested in helping to develop a television challenge for anywhere else in the world, please reach out to me and I will be happy to assist you in getting something set up.

Welcome Alice. This project is fairly new. As the junior leader of the Notables Project, I've come to realize just how many amazing notables from the recent past either don't have WikiTree profiles or are still unconnected from the global tree. Equally disappointing is to see how many have profile pages with minimal or even zero biography or have have a biography simply cut and pasted from Wikipedia.

This is an informal project so no need to register. Just head on over to one of our project pages, pick out a Notable or two you like, and see what you can do to improve their profiles. Just sure to keep us posted on your progress so we can share in you successes.

In my dotage, I watch a lot of early American TV during the day.  Whenever an actor catches my attention, I look to see whether that person is memorialized on WikiTree.  Last month, I created a profile for [[Nolan-5242|Jeanette (Nolan) McIntire (1911-1998)]] whose portrayal a murderer on Perry Mason that week caught my attention.  

In my investigation of her, I discovered she was married to another actor whose work I often watch.   I have not created a profile for him, nor of their other family members, so she is not connected to the tree.

I would be thrilled if someone continues this work and connects this talented family to the tree.  I've left clues in the profile to their names and sources.

I will take a look at her profile. Its amazing how many times an obscure actor has led me to the profiles of numerous other notables and often some really bug names.

Michael Landon can be connected to the tree through his wife Marjorie Lynn Noe (who died in 2015 and is on Find a Grave) whose father John Graham Noe is already on WikiTree: his profile is Noe-1404. Michael Landon’s profile includes two wives’ profiles set as private. If Marjorie Noe is one of those profiles, maybe Landon’s profile manager can connect her to her father.

This one does rely on the cooperation of the profile manager for Michael's wife. I'm sent him a request to make the connection.
