Wesley Trowbridge: 200th Profile of the 103rd OVI

Question

We just completed the 200th profile of members of the 103rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry:  Wesley Trowbridge has a pretty detailed biography and is connected.  

I was able to acquire 200+ headshots of members of the 103rd from the 103rd Memorial Foundation and Museum. I have been working on creating profiles for those that have a photo of them.  Companies A-D have been completed with those who had headshots.  Now on to Company E and the next 100 profiles!

To source and connect the regiment by company is no easy task as I know and still working on the 106th New York as time permits.

I find it very important we build the companies of the U.S. Civil War regiments as many of the men are family related, come from same counties and intermarried so the genealogical connections can be very interesting and helpful. 

Let’s also add the fact these regiments Ohio NY etc often fought in same battles together which in battle maps you can pin point the Regt even the company where they were. This is where it gets really fascinating!

Thanks, I'm a teacher so right now I can get a lot done.  Come August 15th it's going to be hard to spend the time creating the profiles.

Congratulations to all of you involved in this wonderful endeaver. I had family that served during the time in Ohio but not presently aware if any would fit this category.  Again thank you for all the hard work.
