Today is the first day of NAIDOC Week 2023, recognising the amazing history, culture and achievements of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. To help celebrate NAIDOC week on WikiTree, join our pop-up challenge by picking an Australian First Nations person, and create or improve their profile and if possible, add family members and connect the person up to the global tree. Let us know who you pick so we can acknowledge, support and encourage you!

This is the category for First Nations Australians if you want to check what is currently on WikiTree - Category: First Peoples of Australia . Thanks so much!

I have chosen the Crombie Family Tree - branch started by

Joseph Cromie, b. 1812, County Down, Northern Ireland. He arrived in South Australia with his wife Jane on board the "Thirteen:, June, 1842.  His family gave their surname "Crombie" to  Katatatjunti Jack Crombie and his family of the Yankunytjatjara people of north-western South Australia.
