Latin death record help [closed]

I'm digging though church records from Slovakia and I keep coming across the word "colon" on church records describing men in the death record.  Could this be a way to describe "husband"  I see consort for women, but can't seem to find a translation for colon.

Edit:  I just came across "colonus" - colonist?  Colon must be short for this, but what does this mean?
