I have hit a snag in one branch of my family tree. Ancestry usually helps me find old records/connect the dots. However, I just cannot locate any information about this man beyond his children and wife.
He was born approximately 1815-1825 (Canada?) and died in 1911 (Michigan). It seems there may have been another Robert Dibble that existed around the same time. The one I'm looking for was married to Susan York, and the father of Frank York Dibble, Alexander H Dibble, Elizabeth (Littie / Lettie) Dibble, Caroline (Cary / Carrie / CC) Dibble, and William N Dibble.
I was able to locate a census document in which he had said his year of immigration (from Canada) was around 1855. He said on that document that his father's birthplace was Pennsylvania and his mother's was Canada. I cannot locate Canadian information with the name Robert Nelson Dibble.
