The Mayflower Society book on Francis Cook (revised 1999) gives Joseph Brownell only two wives, a daughter of Peleg Tripp and Experience Gifford, both of whom are reliably sourced as his wives.
Our Wikitree profile has two other wives. The marriages are recorded in the Dartmouth Friends Meeting minutes. And the records read wife married Joseph Brownell son of Thomas and Esther Brownell. Is this just coincidence or two more marriages for Joseph between Tripp's daughter and Experience.
Was Joseph a member of the Society of Friends? His profile says he was.
Is there new information that names these two extra wives (Leah Caton/Laton/Lawton and Hannah Bowdish.)?
