Hi Sandra, Agnes (Hutchison-2951) Brownell and Agnes (Hutchinson-4917) Boren are profiles for the same person.

Findagrave memorials do not need to correspond with the location of the grave.

please note the following

Mr. Boren was again married October 1, 1868 to Mrs. Agnes Brownell, daughter of Matthew and Jennett Hutchinson, natives of Ayrshire and Glasgow, Scotland. They were married in that country and came to America about the year 1841, locating in Providence, Rhode Island, where they both died. Agnes was born May 8, 1837, was reared in Providence, and on account of the death of her parents, was thrown upon her own resources at the age of 12 years. She had two children by her first marriage: Eugene, a resident of Crescent city, and Mabel, deceased, the wife of John McMiller, also deceased. They left three children: Annie, Gracie and Edward; the two former make their home with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Boren.

Regards,

Sheila

[[Hutchinson-4917]] and Hutchison-2951 do not represent the same person because: One woman is buried in Iowa and the other is buried in Rhode Island: *https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/14833148/agnes-boren *https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/201113244/agnes-brownell

If they were the same person, that would mean she married her second husband nine years after she died.

Hi Sandra, The grave marker at North Burial Ground, Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island is wrong. Even information chiseled in stone can be wrong. I wondered who bought that gravestone. " Kady is interred at the North Burial Ground in Providence, Rhode Island, ironically in Robert's plot next to his first wife. Robert died on September 29, 1915 and is buried in an unmarked grave site in the East Harrisburg Cemetery, Pennsylvania."

Agnes divorced Robert Brownell because he was having an affair with Kady Southwell.

Agnes moved to Iowa with her 2 children and married on 1 Oct 1868 in Pottawattamie, Iowa, to James B. Boren.
Sandra, why did you decide the profile for Agnes (Hutchinson) Boren (1836 - 1914) is conflated ? There are multiple sources that support Agnes Brownell from Rhode Island as the second wife of James B. Boren where she continued to live until 1914. There is only 1 erroneous grave maker that says Agnes Brownell died in 1859. Please remove the conflated comment. Thank you. Best regards.
Sandra, thanks for removing the erroneous conflated sticker. One of the several sources that shows the error of the 1859 year of death is the 1860 census which has Agnes alive, living with Robert and their 2 children. Best regards.
