Hello Everyone, my name is Ron Thorstad. I was born and raised in North Dakota and am currently living in Colorado. All of my immigrant ancestors came from many areas across Norway. I have done considerable work on my family tree and have run up against a few blockages that I would like to punch through. For starters, the toughest one is my great grandmother Marit Jonsdatter Nefstad (or Nebstad or Næbstad) from the Nefstad farm in the Vang Parish in Valdres. She married by great grandfather Neils Endresen Tørstad in 1820 and immigrated to Minnesota in 1861, but that's about all I know about her.
