Eure-et-Loir, Chartres pre 1700, records, any clue where to find them? [closed]

Question

hello, Fille du Roy Marie Mesuré came from Chartres, Beauce, Orléanais, now in Eure-et-Loir.  When I try to find any records for that department, there does not appear to be anything online in the way of bmd records.  Just a redirect to MyHeritage or Filae (owned by MyHeritage), which require subscription/membership.  Been there done that, not going back.

Does anybody know if there are free access records for Chartres pre-1700?  Thanks.

On the website of Archives départementales d'Eure-et-Loir. The earliest records for Chartres are from 1526.

edit: the name of the département is of course Eure-et-Loir, not Eure-et-Loire as I typed too quickly. Le Loir and la Loire are two different rivers, Loir being smaller, eventually flowing into Maine then Loire then the Atlantic ocean. Also in Loir-et-Cher.

The France project has a help page How to use French departmental archives, with a list of links. Problem is, those official websites feel the need to change their structure (and even their domain name) all the time, so it is hard to maintain an up to date list: the link for Eure-et-Loir leads to a 404 error (now corrected).

There is also the following generic advice:

If you can't find the département you are looking for in our lists, just Google « Archives (insert name of département here) online » and start from there. Try to look for « état-civil » as they have lots of other, non-genealogical, archives. 

It works well for Eure-et-Loir.
