Paternal great grandfather line - McDonald

On my father’s side, I have confirmed genealogical links through my dad’s grandparents (Henry Cardwell b1864 d1945/Emma Lister b1863 d1954) and my paternal great grandmother (Florence Buckley b1877 d1956) with many distant cousins. Similarly, I have confirmed DNA connections on my mother’s side to her mother and father and beyond. However, I don’t have a single connection on my dad’s grandfather’s side through my grandmother, Eva McDonald b1899 d1978). He is William McDonald b1876 in Liversedge d1935 in Dewsbury. He had 6 children (I met all of them except for one who died at an early age). I believe William had 4 siblings but none of these relationships are verified. I think his father was James and mother was Ann from Staleybridge.

Any suggestions? Many thanks!
