Do you have info on William H. McDonald, born about 1835 in either South Carolina or Tennessee? I have been brick walled at this William for 7yrs! The only info I have on him is that he is listed as the Father (William H. McDonald, on his Son's (Willliam Hubbard McDonald born Mar 1865 in ? Tennessee -Mar 1941 Paris, Henry, Tennessee) death certificate. On the Son's(Wiliam Hubbard McDonald) death certificate it states his father is William H. McDonald born in Tennessee...BUT all the Son's census records state his father was born in South Carolina). It also states his mother as Cornelia Preston, born in Tennessee, but we have NO PRESTON dna matches, but DO HAVE 45+ PRESSON DNA matches, so I believe her to be a Presson vs Preston. Unfortunately after building hundreds of trees and on dna matches I cannot find a Cornelia. I have the Son William Hubbard McDonald above living in Arkansas with Wife Francis Elizabeth Vickers in the 1880's, and in Carroll county and Henry County in 1910, 1920, 1940 census. He cannot be found in the 1870, 1880, 1890, 1900 census. If I could find him in the 1870 census, it may reveal his parent information further. Thank you for any help. As a DAR member I have contacted/researched all the obvious and possible records with no findings.
