Need Help Finding Parentage for a Richard Budd from New York

I worked on the Geneaolgy for a former co-worker and I'm trying to go deeper with the family info, however I'm stuck.

In Michigan, I have a Richard Budd born in New York in 1859 +1/-1, who uses either J or R for a middle initial.  Both the father and mother are born in England, but no info is available on parents otherwise.

Since he was born, supposedly, in New York, it would mean his parents have to be in New York in 1858-1860.

I know of no siblings, so there could be siblings.  However, I have no idea how to put a name (Richard Budd born in New York) with a particular Richard Budd born in New York.

So, I'm hoping someone is missing a Richard Budd that lives in the New York area, and this Richard Budd may have gone west to Michigan.  Otherwise, if someone may have a clue as to how I might piece together a possible parentage I would appreciate the help.

Chris,

Awesome!

I previously found that Richard Budd (Father of Richard Budd) but I made a couple of incorrect assumptions.

Initially, I thought they were the same, and I assumed I'd find a Joseph Budd in New York, that ended up being a lost cause.

Likewise, there are several Budd family lines in the midwest, my family line being one of the predominant ones, but other, smaller ones exist too.  I assumed the Richard Budd that died in 1921 was just a different family line that crossed pathes in Michigan.

But that death record you located was what had been elluding me.  As I mentioned to another genealogist that posted an answer, I apparently have a lot more to learn about searching on Family Search then I thought.  I honestly thought I had it mastered, but you and others here had found things I never was able to.

Very much appreciated, sincerely!
Glad it seems to be the correct link! Chris

Chris,

Impressive!  Thank you a ton.  My only confusion now is, why I never got this in my results.  I used to think I was a data analyst God, especially with Family Search, but apparently I have some more to learn.

Anne,

Much appreciated!  I found a different Richard Budd in a 1870 census, I don't think I came across this one.  Thanks for the info.
