The Luther Dodge mentioned in the articles appears to be this Luther who has no date or place of death.

Needs collaboration in what happened to Luther?

See The Gouverneur herald, and the Gouverneur times., January 05, 1882, Page 7, Image 7 and The Ogdensburg advance and St. Lawrence weekly Democrat., December 29, 1881, Page 4, Image 4

Any collaboration is appreciated

Thank you

Note: News clip also shows name as Luther Allen Dodge and he died December 23rd before Christmas 1881 apparently was headed back from being out west 15 years and having mountain fever

Edit: birth date don’t match but interesting the son of Levi R. The brother so his nephew was named after him
