Interesting Historical Find

Question

I do not know if anyone is working on Mary Ann (Todd) Lincoln, President Lincoln's wife, but I am working on Augustus Mentelle. While researching, I came across this:

It seems that Mr. Mentelle opened an academy after defecting f Rom France with his wife. While it was open Mary Todd attended the academy for whatever reason.

Even more Mentelle's was only 1 1/2 miles from her home which the time was an 18 room brick building.
