I would follow Elizabeth Shown Mills' Evidence Explained and add page and column numbers, e.g.,

"Real Estate in Shelburne," The Burlington [Vermont] Times, 11 August 1865, p. 4, col. 3.

If you are using an online content provider, then it should be included in the citation, e.g.,

"Former Oshkosh Man in Capuchin Order 50 Years," The Oshkosh [Wisconsin] Northwestern, 31 July 1937, p. 3, col. 8; image copy, Newspapers.com (https://www.newspapers.com : accessed 25 August 2019).

If citing newspapers.com they have a clipping option which allows you to include a link that anyone can view.

You can present the Newspapers.com link with a template:

{{Newspapers.com| link #}}

The link # is found in the url when viewing the clip.

I've been putting it in the parentheses with the accessed date:

"Former Oshkosh Man in Capuchin Order 50 Years," The Oshkosh Northwestern (Oshkosh, Wisconsin); digital images, Newspapers.com ({{Newspapers.com|1548568756}} : accessed 25 August 2019); citing Thursday, 31 July 1937, pg. 3, col. 8.
