Martha gave birth to a child every 2 years for 26 years (13 children) It appears 11 of them survived childhood. She married a cobbler by the name of Joseph Trow who was a Minute Man in the Revolutionary War. They bought 79 acres in the Northwest Parish of Amherst NH as that war ended, the area became Mont Vernon in 1803. They built a sawmill in 1811, a schoolhouse in 1812 (now a residence), a farmhouse in 1816 which still stands. Their farm did very well for several generations, then fell into decay. It was in the Trow family for close to 200 years. It was bought by local farmers a decade or so ago. They rent out the house and use the fields for their sheep and guinea hens. (Julie's Happy Hens)
