A wonderful picture of the memorial was taken and contributed by WikiTree contributor Rebecca Ewing Peterson, see "Memorial for Bishop Henry King, D.D.

Rebecca also took and contributed the photo of a vault plate. See "Vault plate ..."

Hoping a brilliant WikiTreer has the patience and skill to translate the Latin to English from both of these images.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you are able to provide.--Gene

According to Google "Latin to English", I'm sure there are errors, but this should give the proper sense of it.

H. S. E.
Henry King, Bishop of Cistercian, Eldest Son of John King, Bishop formerly of London. An ancient and royal family of the Saxons with the Damnonii in the Deuonian region, descended from the lineage. Illustrious with the splendor of Christmas, Illustrious with Piety, Doctrine & Virtues. His steadfast faith in the Church and the Prince, his high character and profound erudition, the singular sweetness of his manners, and the easy conviviality of the learned good man, had so conciliated everyone, that the Bishop of the King's House was beloved by the people, and reigned no less in the life of the diocese, and by example, than by his efficiency in his sermons. Obijt Prid. On the Kalends of October in the year of Xian's era 869 of his 77th year

Next to the Father he sleeps here below
John King, the eldest son, whose widow, Anne, of William Russell of Frensham, in the field of vigor, with his very reverend father-in-law, and his beloved wife, wished to perpetuate this stone.

Thank you, Jack Parker. This is very helpful.

(Note: We are hoping to use the translation on that second image as first hand information supporting the John's parentage, and that of his wife Anne.)

The longer inscription certainly does so
Thank you, Lois,

I suppose I should say, "the collective of images."

Helen Ford found yet another plague--fortunately this one did not require translation. See "Bishop King Almshouses, Worminghall"; web content,  [https://worminghallvillage.co.uk/?page_id=23 ''Worminghall Village Hall''], including plaque, "... John King, Esq., sonn of Henry King Bishop of Chichester and Grandson of John King Ld Bishop of London and Anne His Wife Daughter of Sr William Russell of Strensum Baronett .... [dedication] 1675.
