I've added the profile of Thomas Bowes to your question.  The birth date is different, but I think this is the same person, and he is married to Anne Warcop.

As the biography currently stands, they have 3 sons, Talbot, Thomas and William and an unnamed daughter but no son John.

Do you have other information indicating that they did have a son John?

Could this be a reference to John, son of son Thomas m. Anne Maxton?
