How can one paste a single page from a Civil War pension file?

I have just received an electronic copy of my great great grandfather's Civil War pension file. I tried to attach the entire PDF file to his WikiTree profile, but the file is too large to upload.

Is there a way that I can upload images of a single page of this large PDF to his profile as a source? For example, an affadavit for his marriage?

If you have a Mac, you can use Preview to highlight and extract one page as an image. Whether you use Windows or a Mac, you could take a screenshot of the page in question.

I don't know if it's the most elegant solution, but you could open the PDF, then 'Print', for printer select 'Print to PDF', and in the options just select the page number you want; it should prompt you to name the new (1 page) PDF file.

Free-ware programs to split PDFs are available on the web, for example, here: https://smallpdf.com/split-pdf
