We need collaboration to determine if this Civil War veteran is the son of Loren Wilson and Polly Austin. The dates match the location matches even the brother Loren is serving in Company C.

What I can’t seen to figure out is Lewis stands 6’ 4” tall and his brother Loren is only 5’ 5” tall. I’m not so sure this Lewis is the son of Loren and Polly.

Thank you

I'm 5'4" and one of my brothers is 6'3".  So I don't find that unusual.

I’m so glad you shared this I was asking others and they agree it’s possible maybe more possible with a half sibling but possible with a full sibling. It definitely stood out when comparing family bios. laugh

Andrew:

I am 6' 5'' and my full sister (at full stretch) is probably 5'2''.  It happens.
