Hi Wikitree family,

U.S. Civil War veteran Lorrin Wilson was born on March 15, 1844 in De Peyster, St. Lawrence, New York, United States. His parents were Loren Wilson and Polly Austin. He was 5’ 5” tall with gray eyes, light color hair and a fair complexion ion his occupation is listed as a farmer (per fold3 record). He died on December 20, 1925 in Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence, New York, United States

What happened to his brother Oramill? Per the bio on his findagrave he was “killed by cars”?

Any collaboration in connecting his genealogy is appreciated

Thank you

Andrew:

Could he have been working in the railroad industry?  Burlington, Iowa was a site on the Burlington and Missouri River Railroad.

That’s very plausible makes a good rationale and a good source of the Burlington Iowa history!

Is this his brother seems to be some siblings joined and same company C

Lewis W Wilson (1841)

This FindAGrave shows same name but no civil war markings on stone

Newspaper clip shows executors of will as Frank Wilson and a Lewis W. Wilson for Loren a Wilson Here is the link

His sister died at age 12 for unknown reasons as of yet to be researched. Very tragic. He also was a sheriff is St. Lawrence county…

Interesting fact. He died on his 54th wedding anniversary exact same day per wife’s obit.

One more fact is his wife Sarena and daughter Laura died in January 1941 only 4 days apart.
